current song: "Game of Love" by NEWS

A couple of hours ago, I felt hungry, so I reached into my wonderfully stocked ref for munchies. I pulled out a pack of pastillas. Because I'm immune to melamine and still consume dairy products daily without a care, unlike all you fragile mortals, I'M INVINCIBLE, MWAHAHAHAH. Er. The thing is, practically everything we eat is carcinogenic/contaminated/inorganic/genetically-modified/physiology-degradation-inducing anyway, so even if we try to be careful, I think we'll accumulate harmful substances anyway, and there's not much point panicking about mercury levels and the latest toxins and whatnot...

Wow, I got distracted from my point quick.

Back on topic. So I ate pastillas. Then, I suffered from tummy aches. Figuring I was hungry, I ate more. And more. And suffered. Well, eventually, it went away.

Then just now, I felt hungry again, and ate more pastillas. And the tummy aches return. Nonetheless, I went on munching until I realized... hey, it's a hyperacidity attack. And the lactic acid in the pastillas is making it worse.

ERRRR.....

So I chucked the pastillas back in the ref [too late] and decided to go for chocolate therapy. [Er, that is, eating a boxful of chocolate and seeing what will happen. Repeat until feeling better. Pretty much. Works wonders.]

What's my point? Eat? WRONG! [Eh, not wrong really, because eating is good!]

Just don't be stupid! Or at least get that kind of stupid moment. And don't drink/eat milk when you're having an acid attack for the love of all that is yummy. *pointatself* >____> GEH. LOOKBEFOREYOULEAP, HEARBEFOREYOUSPEAK THINKBEFOREYOUEAT!

And chocolate cures all. BELIEVE.

I will get the new Neil Gaiman book. Yes I will. And I shall eat gyudon in a few hours time. Yes I will.

And because I need to stay awake to type my paper... I do a mini-spam of random JE pics guaranteed to get a fangirl's blood going!! [Going, as in going out, in the form of nosebleeds? =P] Mostly Tesshi. Because... he's Tesshi. =P

This is probably my favorite picture. Ever. For obvious reasons. <3

He looks so.... illegal here. But then, Tesshi will probably remain looking underaged for many years to come. [Waitaminit, wasn't he just nineteen when this came out? O_o So he actually was illegal? But then again, JE makes even thirteen year-old kids do these kinds of pics. >___>]

They're... tied together. With ribbons. That is so.... win. =P

asdjaklsjsdfl;;sdf.... WTH, it's pathetic how jealous I am of Yamapi whenever I see this pic. XD My first thought, literally, is always: "I want to kick Yamapi away >_>" quickly followed by "I wish I was Yamapi T___T". Hrm. *envious*

Speaking of Yamapi... hahahah. He's all ready to be mailed to the highest bidder. *snicker* Even if I wasn't a JE fangirl, I'd love this pic. For the lulz factor.

XD Tesshiweallbedeadfromyourkawaii <3

Wow, would you look at that. Seems like I'm officially off my rather long JE-boys-are-so-tiring-and-I'm-not-watching-J-dramas-anymore-because-they're-always-the-leads-Yamapi-is-so-overrated-and-TVXQ-is-better-than-NEWS phase. Yeah. NEWS songs even have higher playcounts than TVXQ songs in my playlist now.

current song: "After Love" by FT Island

So you know that time I complained about my stupid giant forehead and said I wanted to get a fringe? I actually got it that time, I just didn't update with the new look because... well, life got in the way. Hahah.

Happy Haircut!

I don't have Photoshop in my laptop because of the reformat, so the resize is sucky, but anyway... YES, HAIRCUT!! =D Seeya later, forehead!

[But I will admit, since this is my first time having a fringe, it just feels really weird sometimes. Like, there's a weight on my huge forehead. Still, as long as I don't see my forehead. Sacrifices must be made. Yup.]

FT Island's New Song MV -- "After Love"

OMGoshs... afhdsdjlkfjslf Jaejin-ah!! O_O So young, and yet so... hot. O_O Those scenes with him in the parking lot. Wah. Too hot. So young. [And to think back when he was doing the sitcom "Unstoppable Marriage" he had such a boyish, nerdy vibe. Hahah.]

Hongki's new short haircut... I didn't like it at all when I first saw it, but it's growing on me. At least, maybe people would stop mistaking him for a girl now. Wahahahah. But who cares about how he looks, his voice will always be awesome.

Hahah... so many fans are complaining about Junghoon's curly bob. It accentuates his prettiness, but meh, I don't like it either. I don't think it will ever grow on me. Not that he can ever actually look bad, but... I never thought he could look girly, not with those sharp features of his. Proved me wrong. LOL. Girly leader. Ah well, FT Island's point is their talent anyway, not their style.

As for Wonbinnie and Minhwannie... well, they look like themselves, so no comment really. LOL.

The song... well, it sounds like them. It's not very unique though, and doesn't really showcase their talent, and the MV doesn't really exploit their er, youthful charm. [LOL] Hey! Say! JUMP might make people cringe from the overload of kawaii, but at least they act their age. Like KIDS. FT Island is just made to look and sound too old. Show some aegyo! I mean, I like that Hongki's voice is mature, but I'd prefer them doing more energetic songs like "Primadonna" and "FT Island", or else sweet ballads like "First Kiss". They're KIDS, please let be kids.

But I'll listen to the rest of their album, because there might be some songs that I'll like as much as my favorites from their first album. =D

As for another young entertainer I really like...

Ahhh, Taeyeonnie, SO CUTE!!! How can people say you have no aegyo?! How can you say you have no aegyo??

While she's doing great in her radio show, I want to hear her sing again! Whether with the rest of Girls' Generation or a solo project, it doesn't matter. Just as long as she sings!!

Awww... it's too bad the Girls Generation 2nd Album was moved back. It would have been fun to fangirl Girls' Generation 2nd Album the same as the FT Island 2nd Album. FT Generation moment it would have been. No sophomore slump for either group I hope!! Young K-pop artists--FIGHTING!! ^-^V

STUPID HAAAAAAAAAAAIR!!!! STUPID FAAAAAAAAAAAACE!!!!

anxious

current mood: anxious
current song: "You are my heaven" SS501

I am officially sick of my gigantic forehead. Sick enough to go ahead and get a fringe cut. Nevermind if the accumulated oil on my forehead will give me pimples, or if I actually have to style my hair because it would be messier than usual otherwise. I just want to cover my forehead.

Yeah, people with big foreheads usually get fringes early on [elementary, high school], but I've always gotten well-meaning advice not to do it because my wavy hair will need styling and maintaining if I get a fringe.

But whatever. As long as I don't have to see my gigantic forehead anymore whenever I pass by a reflective surface. [Argh, my forehead is a reflective surface in itself!!]

I'm reminded of my 'hairdressers must die' tag though. I know the hairdresser I'll get will cut my hair too short as usual. But whatever.

Expect a view of my forehead soon. Or rather, an obscured view. Soon. Like, tomorrow if fate [and salon lines] cooperate. [I was actually about to get a haircut yesterday but the lines were too long.]

In fangirling news, I'm now kind of pissed at myself for being all over TVXQ that I never listened to SS501. Talk about underrated. Their songs are <3 <3 <3. As <3 as TVXQ songs. RLY.

IN NO MOOD TO TALK ABOUT REAL LIFE RIGHT NOW

June 4th, 2008 (08:50 pm)
bouncy

current mood: bouncy
current song: "Xin Wo" by Fahrenheit and SHE

So I will talk about things that don't have anything to do with me.

For instance...

Why, Barbie and Vic, WHY???!!!???!??!!?????!!!!!

They were the golden couple of the Taiwanese entertainment industry, but apparently, after more than two years of coupledom and numerous engagement rumors and public declarations of wanting to marry each other, they split up. This January. And I didn't even know!!

T_______T

[Although frankly, it's no surprise that I didn't know, since I never looked up news about them on purpose--I never wanted to hear about it if they break up. Which they did. Daaaaaaaaarn.]

My former roommates and I were right after all--if they break up, it will be because of their work. Apparently, they broke up because of busy schedules, and maybe pressure to marry [which they denied].

And now, one last look at the once perfect T-drama worthy couple.

2008 is no fun at all. Lee Donggun and Han Jihye broke up on Jan too! Like Barbie and Vic, they did a couple of projects together before realizing, "Hey I like this person for realzzz."

Now they're also broken up for realzzz.

No fun.

NO FUN.

Just like this look on Vic Zhou's former bandmate, Vanness Wu:

Vanness, I'm sure a lot of girls will agree when I say that we like you looking pretty. Or at least, clean.

Another no-fun moment in the Taiwanese shipping department: Chun's non-stop denial of the non-stop rumors between him and Ella. Since the Taiwanese Hana Kimi drama, Ella and Chun have been paired by the fans and the media, despite being paired with another girl in "Romantic Princess" and now filming an HK movie with Charlene Choi. [Him being paired up with Charlene Choi is no fun either. I really don't like those Twins girls, photo scandal or no scandal.]

THIS pic though is fun. It was during the filming of the MV for "Xin Wo," which though the theme song for the Wu Chun-Angela Zhang drama, "Romantic Princess," featured SHE with Fahrenheit. [And Chunella! Happiness for Hana Kimi fans dissatisfied with that awful ending to the drama, which apparently, was supposed to be followed up by a drama, but never happened because of the stupid Japanese drama version people who refused to give the rights to make a sequel to the Taiwanese drama version people!]

Anyway, "Xin Wo" is a fun song and the MV is a fun watch. Not just because of Chun and Ella... actually, the focus of my attention here were the Calvin-Hebe duet parts and dance [because, dude, Calvin has stated so many times that he liked Hebe best and she's his ideal girl]. And who knew Jiro and Selina could ever have chemistry? They actually seemed to be the most comfortable with each other in this video, probably because Calvin is really nervous about pairing up with Hebe while Ella and Chun have those scandals. [And LOL at cute baby of the group Arron who had no partner! Cutie pie, let your seniors get the girls, because that's the way seniority works, ne? XD]

And just because SHE + Fahrenheit is the cutest thing in Taiwanese entertainment [what with the Vic-Barbie split </3] I also link to the making of the video, part 1 and part 2. In which Calvin expresses concern for Hebe [aw!] and is teased about getting Hebe for a partner [because his bandmates often tease him about Hebe] and they both look shy about the dance thing, Chun and Ella bicker with a lot of  "lahs" [you know how the Chinese say "lah" a lot] and get teased "Lover's quarrel!" by the others, Selina dubs Jiro as "Xiao Dong" [his nickname is Da Dong, hahah, way to make it less manly] and the two of them come up with a name for the dancing duo that they make [with matching dorky pose, hahahahah!]. And Arron, well, gets picked on like the youngest member that he is. LOL.

Anyway, even though Arron doesn't get paired up with a big sis for the Fahrenheit-SHE collaborations, it's okay. Lots of girls love the baby with the 20-million face after all. I mean, literally, his face was insured because his management company is afraid it might get hurt in an accident while he was practicing cooking [for a project that didn't get completed]. <3 He is as pinchably cute as any of the Hey!Say!7 members, even though he's at least four years older than them!

I like Fahrenheit, though I do think they should focus on acting instead of singing. ^^; They don't have the vocal talent of, say, TVXQ. But they are fun in their dramas. KO One was funny, Jiro was cute in ISWAK, Chun made many girls fall in love in Hana Kimi, and now finally, Arron is playing lead in a drama. Apparently, he's playing a high school detective. Seems like a Tantei Gakuen Q like drama.

CURFEW. 12 AM TO 5 AM. POLITICAL SHIT. WTF.

I'm TV-deprived, hence news-deprived, so I don't know if the whole 'gunshots were fired in Makati' thing is true or if it's just an exaggeration.

But whatever the case may be... I WAS IN MAKATI WHEN THE SHIT STARTED BREWING.

My rant this morning was the rain, and the traffic, and Ayala-Makati's god-awful traffic that made me so very very late for my PLIDA certification exam. [I only had about fifteen minutes to write two essays for the composition--and my Italian skills are so not win after a haggard-making two hour commute with no breakfast. Unhappiness.]

And then after the exam Prof. Ria tells us that Trillanes was on trial and the roads were blocked and it's advisable to leave Makati as early as possible...

So we [me and blockmates] did.

Good thing we did. Because huge shit is apparently happening. The tibaks are shouting about it, people are texting about it, and parents are getting worried about it.

Speaking of parents...

What I really hate about this shit is that it's making parents of grown-up girls [AKA me and Yas] act like grown-up girls are back in high school again. "No, don't go out!"

Bad. Yas and I were supposed to watch "Into the Woods" with Anna and Drew tommorrow. It might not happen anymore.

This is NOT a good time for political shit to be happening.

I mean seriously, I'm not just talking about myself. I see and hear a lot of people ranting about ruined plans. And Akon apparently was supposed to have a concert tonight but apparently the shit ruined that?

Ugh.

I'm leaving now before curfew catches up. Still a lot of time left, but just in case my non-luck goes weird on me again.

Brighter note 1: We got our certificates for Level B1 of the PLIDA. Looks fancy and official. Kewl.
Brighter note 2: Weather is so much cooler now. I can feel Christmas. [Puto bumbong, hmm!]

If there was medicine for procrastination, I think I'll need to take it in extra-strength.

So despite the decision to stay in the dorm long after classes ended, I still ended up procrastinating and writing the final paper AKA tesina just today [cos, u kno, tis due NOW].

I finished it but I am very Not Satisfied With My Work. I know I could have done better, but that's always the case with my work when procrastination is involved, and I don't think it has ever been not involved.

I just have this strange and very overwhelming compulsion to avoid something when it's 'Required'. I mean, Dude, my topic was comparison between Italian and Philippine folk tales. I do academic type comparisons about a lot of things just for this journal. I LOVE folk tales of any sort. If it's folk literature of whatever place I will read it.

But I still ended up procrastinating. Because gawd, it's Required. It's a Requirement. Oh noes. Procrastination mode on.

And it wasn't even a 'productive' sort of procrastination. I've got nothing to show for it. Except that I finally watched all of 'Shaman King' which of course, made me very happy and will be the topic of some post in the coming days... but aside from that, nothing. Not even one measly icon... and icons are usually the product of my procrastination.

So, after submitting my paper on folk tales, I will treat myself... by reading folktales. Because I photocopied two freakishly long books about Chinese folktales and I'm looking forward to reading them. And I guess I should also read myself to reading some Italian novels because if I've already read them, at least if I write about them someday, I won't procrastinate on the reading part because I've already done it. Yeah. That's a good plan.

Anyway, something related to something I like to fangirl cheered me up a lot.

HOTTEST [and most obviously temporary] CARTOON BREAK-UP IN THE HISTORY OF..... FOREEVEEEEER??! <3 <3 <3

OMG, DOOM XD <3 <3 <3 )

October 14th, 2007 (10:39 pm)

I lost an entry. LJ is such a failure at times.

I am surrounded by Koreans talking in Korean. They are bugging the hell out of me, which is strange, considering I'm so used to hearing this-language-that-I-do-not-understand from all the K-dramas I've watched. But then, K-dramas don't feature a gaggle of adolescent boys with broken voices talking in hyperspeed and hypervolume due to network-gaming induced excitement.

Katipunan is turning into Koreatown. I should take advantage of the situation and study Korean, yes?

I watched ATLA Book 3, Chapter 4: "Sokka's Master." It's a long-overdue episode of Sokka love!!

When you've seen nothing once, you've seen it a thousand times. )

YES--we have defeated you for all time! You will never rise from the ashes of your shame and humiliation! )

Oh, the wait for the next episode is already killing me. XD

I now have a goofy smile on my face after watching "Stardust." This Neil Gaiman fangirl is perfectly happy with the movie adaptation of her second favorite Gaiman novel.

I watched "Stardust" with some of my orgmates. I had been excited about watching this movie ever since it was announced. I wasn't exactly happy about Claire Danes, but I didn't really mind. Michelle Pfeiffer and Robert de Niro excited me though.

This fangirl will have to express her happiness in the form of icons sometime soon. ^-^ I MUST get this movie as soon as it comes out and re-watch it at least a dozen times!
